My thought for today is...
Yard Sales are NOT for wimps.
I am not a great yard sale hostess...I really do not care if you buy my trinket or clothing. I just want the stuff to dissappear. Goodwill seems like such a better idea to me...tax deduction and all.
Its the entire process...staying home all day...getting it all set out, pricing it all, putting it all away...
All in the name of debt reduction.
Debt reduction comes in phases for us. I think if you have extra money, you pay extra on something. If you do not have any extra, then get your monthly bills covered and work on it next month. Sometimes paying something off does not mean you can use that money for paying extra on something else. Sometimes things get paid off because you wrecked your car, or got your income tax check back. These are not things to depend on.
Living debt free allows people to have more options. It allows you to be more charitable. It allows more people to spend more time with their family, and it allows more people to take care of others when the time comes.
I want to be debt free so bad, I cannot stand myself sometimes. I can feel it, we are so close to having our cars paid off, and I cannot wait! We are for sure having a party on that day- they pay off in the same month. :)
So, here I sit, with my youngest boys, my niece and my nephew...yard selling out little and gently used stuff to whomever wants it.
One mans trash is another mans treasure. So someone come and buy this treasure already...:)
