Can i ask a small question of everyone? how do you do it? how do you keep followers, grow your blog, gain sponsors etc? i would love for this to be my career, not just a hobby i do while on hold for my real job. :( i love blogging, but i feel like i need a direction and im not getting any feedback- fgood bad or indifferent from anyone on my daily posts. i dont even know if my followers are reading me. im not sure how to make this work and be effective. i want to keep doing this cause i love it, but im not sure how to make it better. and im running out of time each day between work and kids...ARGHHH... i dont know the best way to market myself, and its frustrating that i spend so much time puting some of my posts together and then ....i dont even know if someone read it.....

IN MY QUEST TO BE A BETTER MONEY MANAGER, I AM CHOOSING A FEW THINGS THAT I CAN "CANCEL"- SUBSCRIPTIONS, CABLE/SATTELITE, NETFLIX, IF ITS EXTRA, WE ARE GIVING IT UP. I AM EVEN PARTING *SNIFF* WITH INTERNET AND TEXTING ON MY CELL PHONE FOR A FEW MONTHS TO CUT BACK ON THE COST OF THAT BILL, SO I CAN PAY OFF SOME OTHER DEBT.( OOH THE KIDS ARE GONNA HATE THIS)

WE ARE ALSO ALL CLIPPING COUPONS- IF THERE IS NO COUPON- WE AINT BUYIN IT...

THIS BETTER WORK OR IM GONNA BE MADE MISERABLE FOR NOTHING. :)

AS FAR AS MEDICAL BILLS GO, THEY ALL HAVE AN AUTOMATIC PAYMENT PLAN, SO THEY WILL BE PAID IN TIME...LITTLE BY LITTLE.

WE DISCOVERED WE CAN USE OUR FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT FOR PRESCRIPTIONS AS WELL AS OVER THE COUNTER THINGS- JUST GOTTA REMEMBER TO KEEP THE RECIEPTS.

ALSO HEARD- (DIDNT KNOW THIS) THAT IF YOU KEEP THINGS PLUGGED IN ALL DAY THEY USE POWER- EVEN THOUGH THEY ARENT ON...SO I GOT OUT ALL THE SURGE PROTECTORS AND REARRANGED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THATS PLUGGED IN TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS- IT WAS TRUE! I CHECKED THE METER AND IT SLOWED DRASTICALLY.

THE NUMBERS ARENT LARGE ON THE CREDIT CARDS- TOTALLY GOING TO BE MY FIRST ACHIEVEMENT. THE PERSONAL LOAN IS KINDA SMALL TOO. BUT IM AFTER THE BIG DOGS....THE TRUCKS AND THE SECOND MORTGAGE.

SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY GOOD IDEAS AS TO HOW TO PAY THIS OFF- LET ME KNOW. I HAVE BEEN SENT TO DAVE RAMSEYS WEBSITE A COUPLE TIMES, AND ALI HAS BEEN A BIG HELP IN TELLING ME TO TELL MYSELF NO TO THINGS UNTIL WE ARE OK....

DEBT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR MOST FAMILIES, AND WE ARE NOT ALONE, OUR DEBT WE HAVE ACQUIRED KNOWINGLY, AND WE HAVE TO ACCEPT AND DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES. TRYING TO KEEP THINGS PAID UP IS A TASK, BUT TRYING TO PAY THEM OFF EARLY IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR MOST PEOPLE. IT IS HARD TO PAY PETER WHILE ROBBING PAUL- I KNOW I AM SITTING THERE. MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT KEEPING THE GROCERIES OR BUYING GAS FOR THE CAR ISNT ALWAYS EASY.
WE ARE NOT CARRYING OUR DEBIT CARDS ANYMORE. WE DO NOT HAVE A CHECKBOOK ON US. WE DO NOT GO WINDOW SHOPPING OR TO FLEA MARKETS OR TO GARAGE SALES.--LOOKING LEADS TO BUYING.......BUYING LEADS TO BLAME AND GUILT.

ITS ALL UNNEEDED. I HAVE BEEN READING PROVERBS THIS WEEK EACH DAY BEFORE I START WORKING, AND THE ONE THING I KEEP GOING BACK TO IS PROVERBS 3.
I READ IT OVER AND OVER AND NOW I HAVE HAD THE REALIZATION I CAN DO THIS.

IM HOPING PUTTING MY FINANCES OUT THERE FOR YOU TO SEE AND WATCH MY JOURNEY IS GOING TO BENEFIT SOMEONE.

School Lunches

So good morning everyone!
I just wanted to ask a few questions....
I know some of you are home schooling moms, and I can appreciate that so much more now that I am one too!

My questions concern school lunches and solutions...

I know what my kids likes and dislikes are....I know who likes tuna, and who doesn't, I have a yogurt eater and a cheese stick eater...I have a junk food junkie too...:)
( incidentally she gets it from me....)

My biggest two dilemmas are time and money- of course.
Our school lunches are HORRIBLE .....tiny and frozen, so the school decided they would switch companies and go another route...the kids say they are better, but I am not convinced. I know somewhere out there , there is a mom who has developed a plan to overcome school lunch trauma and get her kids into the habit of eating the good stuff on a regular basis- she just isn't me....:)

I'm looking for a few simple tricks that are cost effective to use in packing our lunches...

My boys are 10 and 11, daughter in High School.....so they need good stuff that is portable...I'm just out of ideas...:)


And I need to keep my sanity...
